Dr. Samuel Adeneye
Chief Medical Physicist
Dr. Samuel Adeneye is the Chief Medical Physicist at the NSIA-LUTH Cancer Center (NLCC) and is also a lecturer in the department of Radiation Biology, Radiotherapy, and Radiodiagnosis at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. He earned his Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Dr. Adeneye possesses a comprehensive background in medical physics, specializing in rapid plan implementation, treatment planning, advanced physics in intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), and radiotherapy quality assurance.
He has authored over 50 publications and conducts research in areas such as the Dosimetric performance of radiotherapy machines, Radiotherapy treatment planning, Artificial intelligence in radiation oncology, focusing on enhancing patient-centric treatment, Radiation protection, and Brachytherapy. Currently, he oversees the Medical Physics operations at Nigeria’s largest Radiotherapy center.
