Dr Muhammad Yakub Habeebu
Chieft Clinical Coordinator
Dr. Muhammad Yaqub Habeebu is the chief clinical coordinator at the NSIA-LUTH Cancer Centre. He is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations and quality assurance of the centre, as well as leading the multidisciplinary team of oncologists, nurses, physicists, and therapy radiographers.
Dr. Habeebu is a renowned expert in the field of oncology, with a special interest in prostate cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and head and neck cancers.
Dr. Habeebu is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (Radiology) and a member of several prestigious organizations, such as the Association of Radiation and Clinical Oncologists in Nigeria (ARCON), the American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO), and the Quality Assurance Team for Radiation Oncology in Nigeria (QUATRO). He is also an active researcher and educator, having published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. He is also involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
